Q: Where is the Naperville North edition circulated?

A: Look for us everywhere from fine dining to fast food. 70% of our

locations are restaurants, delis, coffee houses, etc. Everywhere people

grab a bite to eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. The remaining 30% are

distributed to places where people are known to wait, such as oil and  

lube change shops, train stations and doctors offices.

 

Q: Can I subscribe to Coffee News?  

A: You cannot currently subscribe to Coffee News. It is a free

publication distributed primarily at restaurants, or any other places

where you might have some time to read while waiting.

 

Q: How can I get a link on your website?

A: Sponsors are featured on this site as part of their advertising

campaign. They appear in print in the Coffee News publication and

online here at this site. Distribution partners are showcased on this

site as part of our gratitude for their support. These are the two main

ways that the links appear on this site. However, we are also willing

to consider trading website links. Please contact us promptly for additional

information.

 

Q: How often do you publish and where are you distributed?  

A: New issues are distributed weekly to restaurants, delis, coffeehouses,

etc. Its purpose is to provide POSITIVE, ENJOYABLE reading to those

waiting for their meals  or relaxing over a cup of coffee. (seen by

thousands of readers 3 meals a day!) With Coffee News, there is no

BAD news... only trivia, fun facts, local events, and other fun things

that draw attention (like the chance to win cash each month). To see

Partners area of this web site. Targeted Naperville readership is

75,000 per month.

 

Q: What's the monthly contest all about?  

A: Each week, we hide a small "Wally the Coffee News Guy" icon in

one of the ads. Readers search through the ads to find him and submit

their entries online or by mail. Each month, we hold a drawing to

select two prize winners. Currently, the grand prize stands at $100. It is

awarded as a custom "Visa Gift Card" that can be used anywhere
Visa is accepted. The second prize is awarded as a $25 gift certificate to

a restaurant, coffee shop, or one of our other distribution partners.

This has proven to be a very popular contest in Naperville. The contest

is great for our advertisers as well, since it encourages our readers

to look at all of the ads in order to find the "Coffee News Guy"!

 

Q: What is your mission with Coffee News of Naperville?

A: Our primary mission at Coffee News of Naperville is to provide

you with the best possible exposure for your ad in the best locations in

and across Naperville. This is a full time job that we take very seriously.

Our job is to get you seen by as many members of the general public as

possible.  Distribution locations are chosen very carefully based in part

by performance, customer reach and readership potential. They can't

just be good distribution locations, they have to be great locations!

Additionally, our relationships with the distribution partners are equally

great. In fact, everyone that has partnered with us are some of the nicest

people you would ever want to meet.  They genuinely enjoy Coffee News

and want to help strengthen their community.

 

Q: How long has Coffee News been in existence?  

A: Coffee News was originally researched and founded by Jean Daum

in Winnipeg, Canada in 1988. It has grown to over 500 editions in

North America and 40 countries worldwide!

 

Q: Do you deliver Coffee News yourself?

A: Yes. We are in the field every week. The route takes roughly six hours

to complete. We do not outsource this work, nor are there any plans to

do so. We do it all ourselves. Coffee News is about building relationships.

We take pride in our work and the relationships we have formed with

our sponsors and partners.

 

Q: How long have you been publishing in Naperville?  

A: We began publishing in Naperville on May 29th, 2007.

 

Q: Can restaurants advertise in Coffee News?  

A: No. As a courtesy to all our restaurant and coffee shop partners in

Naperville, we offer the protection that no business in the restaurant

industry will be allowed to advertise in Coffee News. Although most

restaurants would love to have an ad, they are disallowed automatically.

The reason -- a Burger King ad in Coffee News, for example, would

have every McDonald's refusing to carry Coffee News. No restaurant

would welcome their competitor's efforts to take away their customers

right inside their own premises, so they would naturally kick them out

and Coffee News too. We do offer restaurants carrying Coffee News

a free location listing on our web site showing our readers where they

can pick up a free copy of Coffee News.

 

Q: How much is an ad?  

A: Ads in Coffee News are far less expensive than other print media.

This is done so small to mid-sized businesses can easily afford to

advertise. You can advertise in Coffee News for as little as the cost

of a cup of coffee per day! So, unless another company in your

"category" of business is already advertising in the edition, it is open

to you. Remember all ads in Coffee News are “EXCLUSIVE”, meaning

we only allow one type of business in each edition, allowing our

advertisers to LOCK OUT their competition - unlike any other publication

in print today.

 

Q: Why do you recommend that ads run for at least 13 weeks?  

A: One answer. Repetition. Advertising is all about repetition. The more

the public sees your ad, the more likely they are to remember it. Anyone
ever heard of McDonald's? Where in the world could you go where no

one has heard of McDonald's? They are very well known and have been

around for a very, very long time yet they still advertise in print, online,

on TV and on the radio. You have to ask yourself "Why?". Why does a

company that is so well known need to advertise? Repetition! In fact,

they have been so successful with it that "McDonald's" is a household

name. This, of course, is not an isolated case. Hundreds of

companies are very well known and they became that way through

repetitive advertising. This fact is what makes Coffee News the best

choice for your advertising campaigns.

 

Q: How do I pay for the ad?  

A: We offer you a lot of flexibility in how you choose to pay for your ad.

You may pay for the ad by cash, check or Visa/Mastercard. We will bill

you monthly, quarterly or even annually if you choose.

 

Q: Do I need to design the ad?  

A: No... If you already have a camera-ready ad -- GREAT! If you don't,

well then that's great too because we'll work with you to create one.

The ad production fee normally runs $30.

 

Q: Can I change an ad now and then?  

A: Yes, you can. There is never a charge for minor ad changes, which
